Suspension - Lower Ball-Joint

Taken from the 1007 Workshop Manual - this only works if there is no corrosion present!

If there is any corrosion the balljoint will be very difficult to separate from the hub:  return to this page 

1.  Special tools

[1] pivot ball-joint uncoupling lever

2.  Removing

Lift and support the vehicle with front wheels suspended

Remove:

* The front wheel
* Hub carrier lower balljoint nut (1)

Extract the wishbone balljoint from the pivot using the tool [1], taking care not to damage the balljoint boot with the chain of the tool [1]

Remove:

* Fasteners (2) (bottom ball-joint clamp)

* Pivot ball-joint

3.  Refitting

Proceed in the reverse order to removal
